Albion Not Slowing Down For Holiday Season
2018 may be winding down, but Albion has many projects that are either kicking off or in full swing.
Clayton State Academic Core Renovation
Our team is still hard at work on the Academic Core Renovation at Clayton State University. Clayton State has done an incredible job of documenting the process and explaining the project in details. For a complete overview, visit their website. This site shows the various phases and intricacies of the project . It includes upgrades and replacements of their Arts and Science Department, Lecture Hall, Magnolia Hall, Library, Athletics and Health Center, and their University Center. As our EVP, Brian Newsome said before, ““We are privileged to have been selected as the general contractor to partner with Clayton State University for this monumental project. Multiple departments are undergoing complete renovations, thus strengthening the university as a whole. We believe that Clayton State will continue their rise as a top public university in Georgia and the south as a result of this project.”
Northwest Branch Library – Clayton County & Police Precinct
As previously mentioned here, we started the construction of the N.W. Branch Library for Clayton County. The N.W. Branch Library will be the 7th library in Clayton County. Additionally, we are also building the new Sector 2 Police Precinct for Clayton County. It will be built on its original site: located at 6335 Church Street in Riverdale. You can find more in this release here.
Fulton County Hapeville Library
Albion, along with Design Firm McMillan Pazdan Smith, was selected as the firm to provide Design-Build services to Fulton County for the design and construction of the Hapeville Library. The project is part of Fulton County’s Facility Master Plan to renovate and construct their 34 libraries. The Hapeville project requires pre-design, design, pre-construction, and construction. The 5,673 square foot library project includes: developing a staging, climate controlled storage and phasing plan in conjunction with the overall project schedule. Additionally, the project requires moving, storing, and reinstalling the existing collections for the Hapeville Library in coordination with library staff. The new building construction is underway now!
