Albion Completes the Seventh Library for Clayton County- The Northwest Branch

Albion recently completed the seventh library for the Clayton County Library System – the Northwest Branch. The innovative design was done by the firm Gardner Spencer Smith Tench & Jarbeau.

There are six other libraries in the county, a total of 2992 library programs and over half a million books! The new 20,000+ square foot library offers Clayton County residents the opportunity enrich their lives by offering them the best source of books, media and more.

The library’s unique features include Rulon and Cloud ceilings with suspended axiom trim, a frame-less glass system and large radius storefront windows. The new library includes enclosed and individual rooms along with meeting rooms designed for 40+ people. Creative activities are included in areas known as ‘Maker’s Spaces.’ Additionally, the furniture, fixtures and equipment are mobile and user friendly with charging stations for electronic devices.

Congratulations to the entire project team on a job well done and another success in Clayton County!
