Georgia State University – 25 Park Place Annex
Location: Atlanta, GA
Albion was the Construction Manager at Risk for this adaptive reuse construction project. The six-story building was originally erected as a parking garage in the 1940’s and converted to office space in the 1950’s.
The broad project scope included modifications and repairs to the building façade, creating a street-level entrance and lobby, adding an access ramp and making the upper floors accessible from the street; replacing existing windows with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows; and adding striking, back-lit, blue-glass feature that wraps a highly visible corner of the building. Renovation and façade redesign were both completed in August 2016.
