Atlanta Humane Society New Headquarters

In 2020 Albion was selected as the Program Manager for the new Atlanta Humane Society Headquarters. Atlanta Humane had been at their current Atlanta location on Howell Mill Road for over 110 years. They had outgrown the location and needed a new home.  Shortly after, Albion completed the remediation of the new location’s Brownfield site and was able to secure a first-place 2021 AGC Build Georgia Award for this remediation! The purchase of the land earned AHS the “2020 Land Deal of the Year “award by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Albion then went on to perform as the Design-Builder for the construction of the new 40,000-square-foot facility.  This state-of-the-art facility is complete with walking trails, cooling splash pads for the dogs, outdoor catios for the cats, a world-class medical area for procedures, specialized areas for dogs and cats in need of extra behavioral care, dedicated areas for foster parents, and more.  The facility also includes beautiful office space for the AHS staff on the second floor of the building.  After the completion of the project in October of 2022, we were also awarded the AGC 2023 Build Georgia First Place Award along with the DBIA-SE 2023 Award for our work on this project.
