Albion Wraps on Northside and 10th Project with Georgia Tech

Albion, along with concurrent partner, JE Dunn, completed the Georgia Tech Pylon Signage project on May 7th at Northside Drive and 10th streets at the Georgia Institute of Technology campus in Atlanta, Georgia. This was a hardscape and landscape development that also included new retaining walls, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, fencing, and Pylon signage. In an effort to foster team collaboration, Georgia Tech split the scope of work between our Albion team and JE Dunn to develop and finalize this project.

“Albion received the pleasure of partnering with Georgia Tech, Barge Design Solutions, and JE Dunn Construction for the rewarding improvement of the Southeast corner of Northside Drive and 10th Street”, said Albion Project Manager and Georgia Tech alumna, Jennifer De La Rosa. “Working in such a traffic-congested area, the Team experienced many interesting challenges along the way but, working closely with all team participants, we were able to improve the pedestrian and micro-mobility access while supporting Georgia Tech’s campus and Landscape Master Plans. Albion had a fantastic time working with Georgia Tech, delivering on our commitment to Create Raving Fans.”

For the last six years, we have been working closely with Georgia Tech on the planning and coordination for this particular project. Their primary goal is to provide a safer campus by eliminating trip hazards and improving accessibility within the area. Thus, new Pylon Signs were installed to assist in identifying the campus entrance point in that area.

Albion has had the pleasure of working with Georgia Tech for the last 20 years. In that time, we have had the opportunity to not only build a strong relationship with Georgia Tech, but to build several projects throughout their campus.

“I look forward to another opportunity to work with their Planning Design and Construction Team, added De La Rosa. “They are team-oriented and remain focused on addressing potential opportunities that could add a positive impact progress on the Tech campus and in the surrounding communities.”
