Maintenance Facility

Albion, in partnership with design lead Wendel Companies, is delivering this ground-up Design-Build facility to serve both office staff and field personnel for the Douglas County Department of Transportation. This highly collaborative project reflects our team’s ability to seamlessly integrate planning, design, and construction in coordination with County leadership.

During the early phases of the project, Albion and Wendel worked closely with the Owner to develop a site-specific program that balanced space functionality, operational flow, and long-term flexibility. Our joint effort during pre-construction included intensive stakeholder engagement, cost modeling, constructability reviews, and value-based design refinements to ensure the project aligned with the County’s goals, schedule, and budget.

The resulting facility spans approximately 6,384 square feet and includes dedicated offices for four Superintendents, a main reception area, a break room and kitchen, and a large conference and training room. There are also four restrooms with showers to support field personnel, along with a central mechanical room and ample storage space for departmental operations. This project is a strong example of Albion’s and Wendel’s shared commitment to delivering high-performance municipal buildings through teamwork, transparency, and client-focused service.
