Project Announcement: Georgia Department of Public Safety Helicopter Hangar
Albion has officially broken ground at the Georgia Department of Public Safety Helicopter Hangar project in Atlanta, Georgia! Albion and Design firm, Toland-Mizell were selected to provide Design-Build services to the Georgia Department of Public Safety for the design and construction of a four-bay helicopter hangar.
The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) intends to construct a new helicopter hanger with offices and living quarters on the campus of the Public Safety Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. It is envisioned that the new helicopter hanger, offices, and living quarters will be a pre-engineered metal building encompassing approximately 9,750 square feet of space on an approximately 17,580 square foot project site. The new structure will provide support spaces including offices and living quarters for the Department of Public Safety’s helicopter crew and hanger space for two (2) aircraft. The hanger will be approximately 75’ x 100’ open floor space. In addition to the hanger, the project attached will be approximately 30’ x 75’ of support space comprised of 4 offices, a day room, a conference room, a day room kitchen, a laundry room, a storage room, and 4 bedrooms each with its bathroom.
