Description
Albion was chosen as the General Contractor for the construction of a new building at Georgia State University’s Alpharetta campus. In collaboration with CGLS Architects, who provided the design, the team created a new facility featuring two biology laboratories and two chemistry laboratories, complete with laboratory preparation rooms. This much-needed lab space eliminates the necessity for students to travel off-site for graduation-required lab work.
The new 11,000-square-foot science lab addition connects to the existing building, with biology teaching labs located on the first floor and chemistry teaching labs on the second floor. Additionally, interior offices and restrooms have been added. Laboratories and lab prep rooms are now available on both floors. Albion was responsible for all mechanical, electrical, and fire protection work for these areas.
