Albion is working closely with GPTC to create a new Regional Transportation Training Center on their TCSG’s Marbut Road campus. The project scope includes the construction of a new facility referred to as Building A and the renovation of an existing facility referred to as Building B.

Building A includes a new single-story structure that will provide a 17,754 SF classroom building with classrooms, computer labs, employee work areas, employee offices, a conference room, restrooms, a student lounge, a vehicle shop with three vehicle bays, and storage. Exterior improvements include adding a parking lot with 52 parking spaces, new landscaping, new site utilities, new site signage, a dumpster enclosure, and safety improvements to sidewalks.

Building B includes the renovation of an existing 4,000 SF structure on the campus. This existing building includes a change of use from a vehicular shop to a classroom building with admin offices. Exterior improvements include new grading at exterior doors and safety improvements to sidewalks. The training center will be instrumental in producing high-demand, skilled workers for the transportation industry, notably commercial truck drivers, logistics and distribution workers. The new facility would replace deteriorating modular instructional space and allow for continued growth in these critical programs.
