Albion, along with Design Firm Toland-Mizzell was selected as the firm to provide Design-Build services to the Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) for the design and construction of a four-bay helicopter hangar on the campus of the Public Safety Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The new pre-engineered metal building encompasses approximately 9,750 SF of space on an approximately 17,580 square foot project site. The new structure provides support spaces including offices and living quarters for the DPS’s helicopter crew and hangar space for four aircrafts. The hangar encompasses approximately 75’ x 100’ of open floor space.

In addition to the hangar, approximately 2,200 SF was created for support space comprised of four offices, a day room, conference room, a day room kitchen, a laundry room, storage room, and four bedrooms each with its own bathroom.
