Albion Employee Spotlight: Didi Brown

You may remember this quote from our blog post: “The Untold Story of Albion.” In light of Brian’s ability to find and retain the industry’s top talent, I wanted to spotlight our incredible team here at Albion. Each month, we will virtually introduce you to a member of our team. I look forward to chatting with my teammates about their interest in the construction industry, hobbies outside of work, and more. In this month’s ‘Employee Spotlight’, we are introducing you to our Project Administrator, Didi Brown.

Get to know a little bit more about Didi, a talented and organized professional with a Psychology Degree from Georgia State University. Didi has a hand in every process here at Albion- from contract control to billing and bid submittals –we can confidently say that she has mastered every task! Didi joined Albion in February of this year and we have definitely enjoyed having her as an addition to the Albion family! I asked Didi a few questions about her life in and outside of Albion:

What made you interested in working for a general contractor?

I did not specifically seek out a general contractor, but I am glad to have to found it and excited for the new challenge!

What attracted you to Albion?

The company values and friendly environment.

What is your professional background (colleges, degrees, past job experience, etc.)?

BA In Psychology from GA State University, worked previously as Project Admin for a small company. I worked mostly with drug free coalitions and school districts around the nation providing data for alcohol, tobacco, substance abuse, bullying, etc. and using the data to build needs based assessments approaches.

What’s your proudest career moment?

My proudest career moment is the relationships that I was able to build with clients and helping them to achieve their goals and serve their communities while they tackled the very real problems of the youth in those communities.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Gene Kelly because throughout my life, Singin in the Rain, is easily my most watched movie ever and never fails to make me happy!

What is your favorite food?

Risotto

What is your favorite TV show?

Six Feet Under

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Baking and Reading

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

Venice, Italy. Everywhere felt magical and old and it was such a beautiful place to experience.

What is your favorite sports team?

Florida Gators
