2018 Ron Amerson Awards

Each year, AGC-GA asks for nominations for the Ron Amerson Supervisors’ Safety Award. The program is designed to recognize AGC-GA members’ field supervisors for “outstanding contribution to safety on their job sites.” The criteria for recipients is based on safety incidence rates for individual supervisors in conjunction with actual man-ours directly supervised by each employee.

We were ecstatic to be able to nominate all of our superintendents for the award and even more thrilled that they each received the Ron Amerson Supervisors’ Safety Award for the 2017 calendar year.

To celebrate and recognize, the AGC holds a “Ron Amerson Safety Award Ceremony and Shooting Range Contest” each year. Since many superintendents and foremen enjoy the outdoors, they host this special event at Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna. There is a friendly competition in the gun range, followed by lunch, and award presentations. It’s a day to honor the superintendents that keep out jobsites safe and on track.

We truly believe we have the best superintendents in the business. Congrats to our guys: Chris Beaver, Chris Mixon, Kris Mixon, Joe DeHaven, John Sherman, Kevin Lynch, and Jamie Peed.
